ABOUT

I was born in Pirassununga, a small city within São Paulo state, and in my first memories I already remember to be using paper and pencil. My parents told me that I draw since very young, but actually I remember it being constant as a habit only after my 7 years old spending hours watching Dragon Ball Z and Pokémon – which were my first references.

In 2010, I moved to São Paulo where I began to study Game Design in Anhembi Morumbi University. I tried something with “Design” because we grow up hearing that “designers are illustrators too”. It was a shot in the dark, specially because I had no idea how professionals illustrations were done and all the technical stuff related to it. I was not a brilliant student, but I learned about many things that I use nowadays – digital tablets, softwares, animation, vector art, storyboard, etc.

I returned to my hometown in 2014 where I decided to experiment with print material for my father’s small company – I “updated” his logo, business card, employee badges and internal signs – and went deep into what make a “good design” and a “bad design”.

Being more into Advertising art, still in 2014, I decided to move onto a city called Ribeirão Preto and started another graduation: Advertising and Marketing at Ribeirão Preto University. Now things were different because I had experience with Adobe softwares and some graphic design know-how.

In the next year, 2015, I started teaching classes of Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign for small groups and also tried to enter into the “professional illustration business”. Nowadays, I do these jobs for all over Brazil.

I had the privilege to study and boost my knowledges 2 times so far: I did one semester, in 2012, of Advertising and Marketing at UEM (European University of Madri), in Spain, and 2016, studying Graphic Design at AIT (Athlone Institute of Technology), in Ireland. Also, it was between 2016-2018 that I could get my ACE (Adobe Certified Expert) in Photoshop and Illustrator.
